Detroit Bridal Shower
Our story

Built by a community,
for every new couple

For years, the women of our Detroit community have come together around a simple idea: no chosson and kallah should begin married life with an empty home.

What we do

When a couple gets engaged, friends and family from across the community each give toward their bridal shower. The funds are pooled and spent thoughtfully on the essentials — kitchenware, linens, appliances, the cholent pot — everything a new home needs from day one.

With everything purchased together, every dollar is used wisely, and the new couple can focus on what matters: building a bayis ne'eman b'Yisroel.

How it works

Anyone can add a newly engaged couple to the list. Once confirmed, the community is notified, and everyone can give toward the shower in under a minute. Every contributor is honored on our With Gratitude page — because every gift, no matter the size, builds a home.

Prefer to shop yourself? Our shopping guide lays out everything a new household needs.

A community project

The Detroit Bridal Shower Project is a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit organization, run entirely by volunteers. Every simcha we celebrate is made possible by this community's generosity — thank you, Detroit.
